I hate to use the word rare, but these antique opal bead necklaces are really, really SO hard to find and this example is just a beauty! An unmarked, but tested 18K yellow gold open link chain (looks French in origin) is set with 14 - ½” sections of genuine opal gemstone beads and faceted crystal spacers. Each opal bead (28 in total) just glows, giving off magical flashes of reds, blues and green. The cut crystal spacers offer just the right amount of flash to the necklace, which measures 22” long by 5/8” wide. In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or other flaws to note.
